Regarding Lunar, both 1 and 2 tie for greatest RPG of all time.
Speaking of battle systems and Lunar, my favorite boss fight ever was from Lunar. I had to fight a sea monster with this devastating wave attack that hit all my dudes at once. I finally figured out that at the beginning of the fight, I had to have all of my characters defend and move to different corners of the screen (you can't even position your guys in a battle at all in most RPGs so this was pretty radical). Then the wave attack then missed or maybe got one guy, so I could manage the damage and finally defeat the boss.

I remembered that Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on the PSP is a slightly updated version of the original Valkyrie Profile. I just snagged it off Amazon for a great price. I'll have my friend in the USA send it to me with the next shipment of neat crap. He gets a stellar shipping discount through UPS at his work. (He once sent an entire bicycle (minus the tires) for about $80-90 from the USA to Japan, even!) He's charged by size, not weight.

I heard load times for VP on the PSP were quite annoying. But then, I heard the same about the PS1 version.
I do actually dock significant marks off a game if the load times are bad.

Just started playing Diablo III on the 360. It's quite a blast. A bit different than playing on a computer. But really loving it. I bought the PC version but never tried it as there were too many flaws with it. Will probably give it to a friend when the Auction House is closed down and the expansion is available next year. He only plays on his computer anyway. The $500 gift card I won recently has gone a long way into providing hours of entertainment for my friends and I. Still have some money left on it but I'll wait on Boxing Day sales to use the last of it up.

I won several in the past little while. The 360 and the XBone came from 2 separate contests. Just got in a Nexus 7 yesterday that I won about a month ago. That goes along with the Ipad mini won in August. I can get some more games with the $500 Toys 'R' Us gift card I got last week. I gave away a bunch of girls toys I won in another contest. Will make some nice Christmas gifts for someone. Maybe something else before the end of the year? Who knows. Just an interesting hobby I have been involved with for more than 40 years (and won a lot of stuff)...

I have completed the Xenosaga series. Finished every game to completion. I know some people here didn't make it through the first game. There was also a thread in here bashing the series in comparison to Xenogears about a year or so back.
Anyone who's curious can ask me anything about it. I have the street cred now.

Found me a copy of that Wizardry game for the PS2. Not expensive, but quite a rare game. This franchise has really survived in Japan. With the success of the Etrian Odyssey games here, maybe it might be time to give the Wizardry franchise another shot in the U.S.

Right now, Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes. I actually enjoy it since it is based more on the Peace Walker system and that MGS is my favorite. But Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin is on my shelf waiting to be next starting from Thursday or so
