Hmmm...I thought it was supposed to be released on the 16th but it looks like they moved the date.

A couple more promo pics for the Live Patlabor have appeared. So far it looks interesting. The Ingram looks true to the Izubuchi design for the most part, I'm a tad worried about the rather bulging crotch winch. Yes, I know it's always had a winch there but on this giant prop it's...rather...prominent.

No, really, check it.

and the more I look at the labor, the more I'm a bit disturbed. Izubuchi designed a rather elegant machine that appeared practical (assuming some advances in materials and engine technology), this has most of the look but is surprisingly clunky in odd areas, like the hands and that multi-band 'bunny ear' antenna on the head.

Well, we'll see. I hope they are paying attention to Pacific Rim, the bar has been raised very high on 'Robots and people' grounds. They have to meet or exceed.

Most of the fans are complaining that the Sentinels for "Days of Future Past" look too small:

Well, yes. I'm not a big X-Man fan but I recall they seemed to be more 'Mazinger Z' or 'Gundam' sized, where they could grab a person in their hand and so on.

OTOH if the idea is these things walk around the streets it's a much more practical size. Dunno about the gun for the right hand however.

and what's up with the GIANT automobile A/C vent on the chest?

Just be glad Michael Bay isn't directing.

 That's him in high school? He looks like he's at least 35 years old there, and that's being gracious.
