Re: The Anime Nostalgia Podcast & Blog
Good episode as always! I enjoy a good ecchi anime from time to time. You might want to review "Colorful" sometime. It is very random and stupid. You can watch the entire series dubbed on YouTube for free. You would not want to pay for it, and I really do mean that!

Next ep of the podcast I'll be interviewing Ryan, aka OldtypeNewtype on Tumblr, who scans and shares vintage issues of Newtype! If you have any questions you'd like me to ask him, please send em ASAP, as we'll prolly be recording in the next few days

Finished listening to it this morning and enjoyed every minute of it!
Having followed Oldtype Newtype for some time now, it was fascinating to hear about Ryan, his journey and getting a background or behind the scenes listen of the blog as well as the anecdotes and tidbits you both shared. I happened to see your tweet announcing the interview and wanted to get a question or two to you but it had regretfully slipped my mind!
I m looking forward to hearing the rest of episode 29 as Tenchi was one of my gateways. You ve really got a voice for radio, continued success and having subscribed, I'll be tuning in from now on as well as exploring the archive.

Ah, thank you so much for the kind words! I'm always happy to hear that people enjoy the show. No worries about forgetting the question, I know that happens to me sometimes, too!
I figured I'd post this here, but I was recently a guest on Nitro's podcast to talk about my love of music rhythm video games!

Another great episode usamimi! It was fun hearing the story behind Oldtype Newtype. Very cool choice on the guest and great job on the interview!
Thanks for sharing the latest M Disk Playlist episode as well!

Thanks, Kame! It was a whole lot of fun, and I know Ryan appreciates that everyone seems to have enjoyed the episode, too. His blog is great and I'm hoping more people check it out!
And on another note--it's that time again! Fill out my survey for the end of the year episode! One lucky entry will receive a holiday surprise at random, so good luck!

So this year I decided to write up a little Gift Guide specifically geared towards older anime fans fans of older anime!
I wrote it more for people who might be clueless as to what to get for someone who was into older anime, not necessarily for fans like us who probably would have no problem thinking of a gift like that. I also tried to make it a mix of price ranges, with a few high-end things but mostly stuff under 40 as well as a variety of types I even organized it by departments XD . What do you guys think?

I gave the oldtype newtype podcast a listen to hear the story of another magazine collector one doing what I wished I could have before donating my 100 issue collection. Regrettably, my level of web savvy went bust before things like Tumblr! When Ryan said he was at Otakon '99, I have to wonder if we may have stood side by side in the dealer's room hunting for NTs. Also, if you want some nostalgic magazine posters, I had a bunch listed in the sales topic here at the Lounge. Now I want to scour my saved inserts for bits of history...
