I received my Space Adventure Cobra DVD yesterday.. and there was much rejoicing (yay). What you get is a box and a DVD, and a very lovely placeholder piece of styrofoam for where the second DVD will go. Very good for them to do this, I think. I haven't watched it yet, but I am sure it will be great quality. Hopefully I will have a chance to watch this very soon.

I've heard from a few people the Cobra DVD set is great. I'm glad, I definitely want to get it when I can. It also makes me excited to see what their Cat's Eye release will be like!

No way! Cat's Eye? Neat! I know that series was released several years ago by ImaginAsian, but those were made on a per-demand basis, IIRC. All I managed to buy from them was Orguss.

Yeah, I believe I posted about it in this thread when it was announced, but Nozomi will be releasing the first part some time this year. :D

The Cat's Eye DVD release should be sourced from the Japanese Blu Ray masters so this should look great. Should be much better than the ImaginAsian dvds which were very iffy in quality.

Kids Station has been showing Cat's Eye late at night. I haven't caught any of it to see if it is the remastered version or not. The station has been showing remastered versions of UY and Ranma 1/2, so I would not be surprised. I've only seen the first episode, and it was on the DVD I sent to Daniel our admin last year. It would be interesting to see it subtitled to understand all the gaps that my Japanese understanding lacks.

Castle of Cagliostro finally on BD (and DVD again) courtesy of Discotek. Should be the unaltered opening this time as well.
