I know there are still a lot of fans of the Western soundtrack for Street Fighter 2 the Movie. KMFDM, Alice in Chains, Korn...pretty legit bands, whether you like them or not.

I'm guessing that if Discotek nabbed the "true" uncut masters for the film, they'll just have the english dub switch to the Japanese track for any undubbed sections, like they did with their Fatal Fury OVA release. Although the 2006 Australian DVD release apparently has a version of the dub that fully synchs up with the uncut masters.

Man, I can't believe this movie has gone through so much trouble over the years just because of Chun Li's tits.

It's possible. maybe the announcement this time was some more concrete release timing. I dunno.

Still worth a *boggle*. :)

(and the frustration that we never got the clearly, CLEARLY needed followon show which I called 'Shin Great' for no good reason)

"This time"? What do you mean? That title wasn't in their most recent announcements, I know because I was watching their page as they updated last night...are you sure you're not just looking at an old announcement?

I don't know. I know nothing. I read it somewhere, it was seemingly stated as new news, I rolled with it.

This is the danger of paying any attention to the mayfly media circus.

So, OK, old news. *still* boggle. Fair enough? :)

 haha sure. It's still pretty great they're releasing it. To be honest, I wonder when they'll update on that, I think it's been a while since they have....

Discotek'll be announcing more stuff tonight...everyone get ready!

It seems to be a habit around here where things that have been licensed months ago have been forgotten by many posters here. I'm sure I've done it at least once, too. I know this is the Aging Otaku Lounge, guys, but we're not THAT old yet!

So Discotek left a comment on their post saying that "Lupin got captured by Zenigata", so they're waiting a week (or less) to continue with the announcements.
