Crazy! If they have Giant Gorg, who knows what else is possible!

I'd love some mecha shows like Layzer, L Gaim, or Galvion.

Can't help but think that one major point in Giant Gorg's favor is that it is a relatively short mecha series. Not that length is something that has scared away Discotek in the past, as Mazinger Z has shown.

Layzner, L Gaim and Dougram would be great. And Vifam is an AWESOME show. I recently finished watching that series and it's definitely one of the best character driven mecha anime of the 80s.

Honestly, though, I get this feeling that Ideon might be on Discotek's radar. They'd have to license the 2 movies along with the TV show, though. But Ideon has a rep in the West that some of the other Sunrise shows don't have.

I think I saw the first episode of Layzner. It starts out as a school field trip to outer space, and then during an enemy attack a bunch of the kids die, right? That was pretty intense.

I'm really excited about Giant Gorg because I never was able to find tapes of it back in the day, and I've been too lazy to see if anyone had fansubbed it digitally. I've heard good things about it, so I might just pick it up if it goes on sale eventually. :D

Oh, and a head's up--the Castle of Cagliostro blu-ray's pre-order price dropped to $14.99! http://t.co/v5Qg7a3oUi

Someone actually did fansub all of Giant Gorg...but I never got around to it as some of the DDL links died (I don't like torrents).

Ninku BOX 1 on Blu-Ray: http://www.animate.tv/news/details.php?id=1429180377

I used to have the single Ninku VHS and I knew there had to be more to it because it felt like some strange in the middle episode. But I loved it, it's so weird, but weirdly cool.

HOLY CRAP, the original Vampire Hunter D's coming to DVD and blu-ray! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ilm/.87197

It'll be by Sentai, so...hopefully it'll be ok. :? BUT STILL, I'm excited!

Edit: aw...apparently word on the street is it won't have the old dub. :( https://twitter.com/WTK/status/590635291792306176
