On my last Gunbuster purchase, I remember I'd rip the first episode onto my laptop and splice in the original "Chariots of Fire ripoff" audio back into the montage sequence. That's how obsessive I was at getting it back to the original...
I assume this blu ray will of course not have the Chariots of Fire ripoff music again

I'm gonna ASSUME not, but....who knows, given it's Discotek! They might be able to pull it off?llj wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 5:31 am On my last Gunbuster purchase, I remember I'd rip the first episode onto my laptop and splice in the original "Chariots of Fire ripoff" audio back into the montage sequence. I remember complaining about that back in the day, and getting absolutely lambasted by some self-appointed defender of the US anime DVD industry. Basically I was told I was a ridiculous person for wanting the original music included.llj wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 5:31 am On my last Gunbuster purchase, I remember I'd rip the first episode onto my laptop and splice in the original "Chariots of Fire ripoff" audio back into the montage sequence. What's funny is I'm pretty sure the Japan release did have the original music. So it was more of a thing to prevent reverse import that anything else.

Sentai announced they've picked up 1997's Hareluya II Boy (aka Hallelujah II Boy), which they'll put up streaming as well as doing a home video release later: https://www.sentaifilmworks.com/a/news/ ... uya-ii-boy
I've always been curious about this one, I never saw it back in the day.
