Finished Shaman King Master of Spirits 2 last night for the GBA. It's a poor man's Castlevania, which is not a slag. Actually quite decent to play. Don't need to be a fan of the manga or anime to enjoy.

Binary Domain for the PS3. Unfortunately overlooked, because I really enjoyed the single player experience. Typical SEGA gaming goodness. Multiplayer is somewhat dead, but shockingly still has people playing. Pick it up if you can find it!

I'm *still* playing Fire Emblem: Awakening. Beat it in normal mode on one save file, halfway through hard mode on a second save file.

I also recently beat Bayonetta, and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. The latter of which I won off Listia

I'm still slowly playing through Yggdra Union for the GBA on my DS Lite. Legend of Heroes for the PSP has once again fallen by the wayside, as well as Super Robot Taisen W for the DS. Lately I started playing the first level of Sakura Taisen 2 on the Saturn to record some video footage of the battle at the end of the first level for a Saturn video I am making for YouTube. I played most of the way through Sakura Taisen 2 many years ago on the DC... I need to finish that game.

For your DS Lite...are the hinges still intact. Mine broke off, so that's why I ended up getting a DSi XL after it was released. Too bad you can't use GBA games on it though. But I have the original DS, Micro and GBA...

Yggdra Union is pretty cool on the GBA! They ended up releasing it on the PSP and then again as a free PS store download if you purchased the "Knights in the Nightmare" PSP game.

I only have one Legend of Heroes game and that's Trails in the Sky. As for Super Robot Wars...I have the ones the OG Sagas that were released in the US but for Japanese, I only have K. I would like the new ones... if I can get them cheap.

For GBA...I'm not sure how many games I have. What's sad is many I purchased and were backlogged because of the focus on DS and PSP games. But I took a picture of what I have...

Kndy, I see that you have Riviera in that picture! I heartily recommend that RPG. It's also by Sting (Knights in the Knightmare, Yggdra Union, the more recent Gungnir, and many others). It is certainly less than a typical 50 hour RPG. In a classic Sting way, they've taken the concept of a genre (in this case, a JRPG) and limited it severely. The weapons you have can only be used a certain amount of times, and the only way to level your characters is by gaining experience with the various weapons. Grinding is available, which do not decrease the number of times the weapon can be used (fortunately). Movement is not free, either. You can only go in certain directions, somewhat similar to an old point & click interface computer game. Areas on screen can be searched for treasure and such, but to search it it requires a token, which are awarded from defeating enemies. So if you see a treasure chest and you have no token, you can't open it. It may seem like the game would be annoying and frustrating, but it actually isn't. I had so much fun playing Riviera. I've become a Sting fan from all these games.

There's a sequel to Yggdra Union on the DS called Yggdra Unison, but it is a realtime strategy game. A more direct continuation of the same Yggdra Union gameplay is Blaze Unison for the PSP. I recently picked it up. Unfortunately, neither of these games were released in English by Atlus.

I just picked up Pandora's Tower to go collect dust with the other two big Wii RPGs. Someday hopefully soon. I'm about to throw DS Dragon Quest VI against the wall (I can't find my way back to the final area) and start up Harvest Moon 3DS instead.

It's interesting because I purchased "Riviera" for the GBA and then not too long after, the PSP version came out. But I love JRPG's and Strategy RPG's. I wonder if "Yggdra Unison" and "Blaze Unison" are easy to play?

I have seen videos on YouTube of the PSP Riviera. The GBA version seems to be more charming. The English voices for the GBA version are better-sounding, although of course the PSP has more voice in it. The GBA version's voices seemed to fit the characters better.

Yggdra Unison may be easy to get the hang of. I haven't checked Gamefaqs.com to see if there's a walkthrough or an explanation (can't look currently since that site is blocked at work). I just played a tiny bit of it to see what it was like. It graphically looks identical to Yggdra Union, using the same character icons and such.

I imagine Blaze Union should be easy to get the hang of, once you have experience playing Yggdra Union and understanding how the game works, if you can't read any Japanese. If anything, it will be rote memorization of the cards and what they do and such. I haven't looked at any gameplay videos recently, but I believe there is a bit of English on-screen.
