I'm one episode away from finishing Karin. I had my doubts that I'd finish the series, but it turned out to be worthwhile. Not sure which title I'll pick next in my backlog, but it may either be Steins;Gate or Fate/Stay Night. Haven't seen either yet, so we'll see.

Haruhi was a show that I heard so much about, for so long, that I immediately lowered my expectations, assuming it wouldn't live up to the hype. But, much to my surprise, I really enjoyed the show, liked the characters, and was very impressed with the dub. I felt the "Endless Eight" episodes were a huge misstep--though it was an intriguing premise, and only on an anime could they get away with eight nearly identical episodes back-to-back. The Haruhi movie was fantastic, I just re-watched that one near Christmas! I'm disappointed that a third season of Haruhi was never pushed into production, but at least the light novels have been translated.

Char - they are doing a new anime series based off of "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki" this Spring! Starts April 3rd (the day after my bday, so it's easy for me to remember! lol.)

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was so great (it's in my top 5 anime films of the past 10 years) that I almost wish KyotoAni would make more anime films. But the K-ON! and Tamako Market movies, while very solid, just weren't quite as good as Disappearance of Haruhi. I guess it was one of those one-off things with the right material and the right combination of talent involved.

Wow, this is awesome news! With such a lapse in time since when the film came out (back in 2010, I think?), I had figured we wouldn't be getting any new Haruhi anime.
This restores some hope that an anime like Highschool of the Dead, which also ended its run in 2010, might still one day get a second season.

Fate/Stay Night is a series I like mostly for the cool characters more than the actual story. Not that the story is bad, though. It basically equates to a "your life is in peril unless you win", gory version of Pokemon, when you think of it. It really is interesting and Saber is one of the best-designed characters in the past decade.
I've never watched the sequel series. I'd bought my DVDs from Geneon just before they disappeared. I don't know if it was ever re-produced by another company, nor if any of the other series like Fate/Zero have been released in English. I'd be interested if they did. A couple of years ago, I played Fate Extra on the PSP. It's more of a dungeon crawler than an RPG, and the combat is basically like rock/paper/scissors with limit breaks and such. It boils down to taking notes on the enemy attack patterns to beat them. It was amazingly released in English (original voices plus subtitles) by Aksys. The sequel stayed in Japan, though. Some characters from the Melty Blood series apparently can be found in the game, but I never encountered them.

Yup, Sentai picked up the rights to Fate/Stay, so you can get it on blu-ray now (as well as the Unlimited Blade Works movie):

Fate/Zero is still an Aniplex thing so the release is pretty expensive:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GGS ... RPCQ2F2YFH BUT on the plus side, it's streaming on Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, AND Viewster, so...it's not hard to watch, at least!

You've definitely convinced me to move Fate/Stay Night to the front of my watch list. I think I may even start it tonight. I've heard good things about Fate/Zero too (if I'm not mistaken, I believe I've recently added the series to my Netflix streaming queue).
Fate/Extra is one I've been tempted to pick up. I know many games in that genre can take a long time to beat, upwards of 20 hours or more, so I'm always concerned that I'll never get around to finishing them. Though it's easier with the PSP, especially if one's traveling...and I've been looking for a reason to dust off the PSP.

Gundam Build Fighters Try episode 22
GEEZE O CRAP I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!
Some really spectacular animation, showing they kept their budget in line so the climax would be 100% pretty. With all the manly emotion and stuff going on, well, I sure wish there was some way to put the same fun and energy into a 'normal' Gundam series.
Tryon 3 is awesome and I WILL build that thing when it gets released. I can't stop laughing as the union/transformation mirrors the stock footage of the Gundam Double Zeta. What a brilliant move from a design standpoint! If only they had the guts to make fun of the original Gundam design, 'GunBoy'.
Rumor has it there will be another Build Fighters series. I sure hope so.

Yeah, when I first saw an image of Saber, she was in an animated gif on some forum. I was like, "Oh wow, what character is that?" "That's Saber from Fate/Stay Night." I then knew I had to watch the show.
Handheld games are the only games I can really play anymore. Unless it's a Saturday morning, I really don't get to play my consoles. I have all my consoles hooked up to our TV, but I rarely have the chance to play any games on it. Handhelds allow me to be selfish.

Finished watching Nurse Angel Ririka SOS. I will admit. I did enjoy it. It does have unpredictable moments and I was surprised Ririka was not too reliant on Kanou. I will probably start watching Saint Seiya Omega next.
