Hasn't ACR's stuff been taken down before? I seem to recall that...hopefully they'll return eventually. Isn't most of the stuff they posted available for download/torrents? Or are they all dead?

*Some* of the stuff ACR has are from dead torrents. He's amassed quite a digital collection over the years.

That makes sense...I wonder if he's ever tried Vimeo or Daily Motion? Those 2 seem a lot less concerned with pulling things than Youtube is.

Recently started my Evangelion rewatch not too long ago...it's been a while since I've seen this one, so I'm looking forward to revisiting it.

I wish I had snagged his upload of Leda. That was great. At least somebody else has uploaded more episodes of Dream Hunter Rem. I'm interested in continuing that show. But with working two jobs and such, I just don't have the time to watch much anime. On weekends, I'm usually busy doing other stuff.

Vimeo sucks, at least as far as my purposes. They have a strict "no video games" policy, so I cancelled my account I'd created. Daily Motion is better, but the problem is that videos must be no more than one hour in length. That's okay for most OVAs though. But they also have an issue with file size. It can't be over 3gigs or something for one video. If you're uploading in HD, that can become an issue. But other than that, DM is better.

I upload most of my videos on DM. There just isn't the same viewership on there. Everyone knows YouTube, but not DM. The problem I'm having with DM currently are spam bots. I get these dumb, random messages like, "The video wouldn't load properly. Here it is on another site" (and it's not my YT channel), or "Yeah, I know what you mean. I had the same problem with Windows 8, too. What I did was download a patch from this site here" and crap like that. I'm not dumb enough to click the links. But once again, I'm babysitting the Internet...

We're on the 4th Ghost Sweeper Mikami collection at last. We watched the Christmas episode. It kills me how widespread the typo "Santa Clause" has become due to that Tim Allen movie. There's not supposed to be an E in Claus, but in the subtitles, that's how they kept spelling it. Absurd.

Rightstuf had Bodacious Space Pirates for only $17 per set, so I bought the first one. I'd caught the first two episodes fansubbed on YouTube about a year ago and found it intriguing, so I figured, "What the heck? Why not?" So I watched the first two episodes tonight.

I'm super guilty of making that typo, not because of that movie really but because 1. it never gets caught in spellcheck and 2. it always FEELS like I should add an e at the end, even though you don't!

I've heard that Bodacious Space Pirates is actually pretty good, other than the dumb name. It's on hulu but I've never gotten around to checking it out...

I've been watching Saint Seiya Soul of Gold recently (still ongoing I guess) and man, it's good, if you like old school. It makes me want to re-watch all my ADV DVDs, except of course they stopped just 5 episodes shy of concluding the story arc. Bleah.

We're working our way through Perrine Story mostly on llj's recommendation and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. That kid is a survivor. Also watching Ore Monogatari (My Love Story) on the Crunchyroll. I was iffy on it at first but it really grew on me; it's goofy and it lets all the characters be goofy in their own ways, but not at the expense of narrative or character.

Got to see the 2199 Ark Of The Stars film. Easily one of the best Yamato films and it's almost sinful how much it makes us want more 2199.

also: finished a kickstarter (didn't fund), finished one con, getting ready for one more, did another Let's Anime column. Been a busy summer.

Well, according to a Bandai rep at the Shizuoka Hobby Show in May, there will be more Yamato anime coming. I'm excited about that.

The movie is really cool, huh? The middle third act plays out much like a Star Trek episode. Very surreal. I also like how the hotel they stay in is patterned after the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles (or at least the glass atrium ceiling is). The animators are most likely Blade Runner fans! Who isn't though, really? :D

I spent a 3-day weekend at my in-laws, and I finally got back to watching Record of Lodoss War TV. I finished disc B at last. I think the last time I touched this show was back in January! So now I'm in the second story arc, with Spark. I am already familiar with the story from the CPM manga, but I've forgotten so much of it.
