Seven Seas announced on twitter recently they'll be transiting both Devilman G and Captain Harlock: Dimensional Voyage.

Both of these aren't by their original creators, but they look pretty cool & sound interesting to me. What do you guys think? Are you willing to give a change on manga spinoffs that aren't done by the original artist? Or do you prefer the original classics?

I'm looking forward to both of these. Hopefully this will open the door to vintage Devilman & Harlock manga. Heck, they could just go back to press with that 1980s trade paperback Devilman and I'd be happy.

I hope nothing is censored from the Devilman manga, then I can look at that to compare to the TV and OVAs that came out (not that live action film, that things poop).

I hope they might get Violence Jack, id like to see how "violent" it gets...

It's not Go Nagai's original manga, so it's probably going to be different. It was released for the Devilman 40th anniversary. The press release looked like it's more horror focused, and Seven Seas doesn't edit their manga, so I don't think you have to worry about that. ;)

I wasn't aware of that, or maybe I did but forgot. That's still cool though, I will check that out.
