I'm guessing "Where are they now" posts go in Off-Topic, as they are not related strictly to the 90s-era fandom. (^_^) Anime Cafe was one of Washington State's first dedicated anime stores, and was an incubator for the group that would create Sakura-con in Seattle.

Rik Wall is on Twitter, and still into anime, it looks like: https://twitter.com/ohgamiichiro

Finding info about his old partner Jack Blazkiewicz has been a bit trickier... it looks like during the mid-2000s he went pro, working for RJP-Pro, one of those localizers and importers that popped up during the anime boom (they licensed Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie and did dub script timecoding for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure). Not sure about what happened to him after the boom went bust; anyone know?

Hey, Sorry to necro bump this thread. I worked with Jack after he left RJP-Pro.

Jack is in jail (or prison) for a very long time.

Here's a few articles.

Yeesh, that got dark fast. It's probably no surprise that Jack here is not the only startup anime localizer to wind up in jail for CP-related offenses... https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2 ... -violation
