The Old School Otaku Lounge

One thing I appreciate about old-school fans is how persistent they are when they decide to make something -- "100 views? That's about how many people read my zine articles back in the day..."

Series still going on, seems to get a new episode every week. Some of them are indirectly-related, like the last episode on Akemi Takeda's PC Engine work, but I think this actually helps because it reminds people that anime fans back in the day often had a collection of related interests of which anime was at the center, rather than being exclusively anime, whether it was anime/furry, anime/sci-fi, anime/gaming, etc.

Yup, always a pleasure to hear about scene-related things like this. Despite also being an anime "middle schooler", I'm quite interested in anime fanzines, newsletters, etc. (Both physical and online BBS) I just bought a couple issues of "From SIDE to SIDE" to add to my collection.
