I was wondering in Japan, how things work for those who have a love one that is deceased. Is it the same as America in terms of having to contact Insurance companies, etc. And are most Japanese insured by life insurance which helps pay for the costs. I never really thought about it back then...but now since I'm older...I think about these things now. Part of me has debated relocating to Japan and then staying there.... I wonder how much are funeral costs these days in Japan?
