Ok, so Matt Thorn is apparently a she now, but is still 'Matt'. Hm.
Ok. No mention of the child Matt ..um..sired when she was a he.
I.. have no idea if I said that correctly and even if it is possible to say correctly.
Alright, I learned something new today. I guess.

I assumed the little baby in the pics is Matt's baby? My understanding is that people can identify however they wish and use whichever names they want.

In these cases, it's generally okay to ask the person directly...although in a public forum we have to make assumptions about the preferred gender pronoun. I remember Jeff Jones the artist--became transgender later in career but tended to change mind about what pronoun she preferred over the years.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Matt's daughter is from before her transition. She & her wife are living happily in Japan & Matt's still working on manga (most recently on Otherworld Barbara, as she works very closely with Moto Hagio http://amzn.to/2mhH6nO )
