Sorry, as a person that tries to Re-read the Lensman saga once a year, and made a point to get everything in print that E.E. 'Doc' Smith ever wrote, I am curious as to what is being referred to here...

Back in, oh my god 2011, Superdeformed was at AWA and I was there, and Steve H was there, and he had us as guests on an episode of his podcast where we discussed the Lensman anime and "Doc" Smith in general. I'm also a "Doc" Smith fan, love Skylark and Lensman and "Spacehounds Of IPC", but his later stuff - Subspace Encounters & Subspace Explorers in particular, are tough to get through...

Man those 'Subspace' novels. Wow. SUPER rough reading and just a little scary. I think I'll stick with the Lensman books thank you.
