Sad to hear the creator of Chibi Maruko-chan has passed away at 53 due to breast cancer. Maruko-chan is right up there with Sazae-san and Crayon Shin-chan when it comes to iconic family anime & manga. RIP

Too bad that one was never subbed in Hawaii. It would have been great to see.
