The 18th annual AWA is coming up next month and since I helped start it, I'm kind of duty bound to show up and make sure things happen the way they need to happen to keep things happening in the AWA tradition; meaning, at least one event utilizing something we bought at a thrift store, at least one anime feature moved from a large room to a small one at the last minute (and vice versa), at least one party full of people drinking too much, and at least twelve thousand people having a good time.
I'm going to be doing panels on Kokusai Eiga-sha shows (the J-9 series, Galvion, Honey Honey), a Tezuka thing with Helen McCarthy, a thing on Prince Planet, and of course Anime Hell Friday night.
If you're anywhere near Atlanta the last weekend of September, come check it out!!

Re: Anime Weekend Atlanta
I've been trying to get to AWA since the AWO first did a con report for it, I've not been able to get to Atlanta yet. But I will some day
Re: Anime Weekend Atlanta
Being from "up North" AWA always meant "American Wrestling Association".
Hope you have fun...
