They're using a new piece of interesting tech for the Project A-ko bluray called the Domesday Duplicator, which will scan several different laserdisc releases to compile the best footage possible to use for restoration. It sounds like a lot of work, but very fascinating! I'm looking forward to seeing previews once they have enough cleaned up footage to show off!

I hope it is better than the last two DVD releases, they both have issues. I guess I'll be following the progress of this restoration and read final reviews first before I buy.

Rightstuf is having a big Discotek sale this week (up to 40% off) for those who're interested: https://shrsl.com/28ikx

Considering how rough this year was, I'm thinking that Rightstuf may do a few big sales spread out rather than their usual Holiday Blowout sale...so it may be worth it to pull the trigger on this stuff now, rather than hope for good deals later this month.

I was gonna use some/any Christmas bonus I got for a Right Stuf Discotek sale. A lot of outlets don't carry Discotek stuff anymore, and print runs seem to be getting more and more limited.

I think they're still having issues with suppliers right now, which probably doesn't help.
