Post by kndy »

I figured since a lot of us have similar taste in video games, I'll create a thread on video game deals on TAOL!

For those with a Target nearby, this week on clearance nationwide but YMMV is "Resident Evil Revelations" for the Nintendo 3DS for $9.98.

Others are finding "Street Fighter x Tekken" for the Vita and "Asura's Wrath" for the XB360 for the same price.

Didn't see the other two this week but I did see many 3DS accessories on clearance.

Great prices but at the same time...I'm such a CAG... But when it comes to Nintendo games...Mario Kart 7 is probably never going to get any cheaper than $29.

In Canada I use the Redflagdeals website to do a lot of my online shopping since deals for just about anything are posted there. There is an entire thread on cheap games and where to get them, trade ins, etc. That said, I'm not a big game player. I don't have any of the modern consoles and I've bought few computer games over the past few years. Just not enough time to devote to game playing anymore...

I don't have much time to play as well but I do try to play a lot of games that deal with strategy, eye-hand/coordination and for the past few years I have also been playing a lot of PC, a lot of games via hidden object, strategy or puzzle oriented.

I get a little worried as I get older because my grandfather has Alzheimer's and even my mother-in-law. Interesting enough, my father-in-law who passed away enjoyed puzzle games, crossword puzzles and feeding his brain, even at his older age and he believed because he was so engaged with feeding his brain, it helped in the long run. Studies have shown that brain teasers/puzzle games help stimulate the brain and provides a great mental workout, so that is why I try to do it each day.

Fortunately, PC or casual games are inexpensive and can be found on eBay or Amazon quite cheap.
