I'm sure most of you have seen this already, but since I didn't see a post about it, here's the link just in case!

I'll be working on production staff for this just like with Bubblegum Crisis! So I hope everyone's able to snag a copy~

That's so cool. I really need to get a bluray player, but the one I want that doubles as a region-free DVD player is expensive.

Admittedly, I'm just lazy and use our PS3 as a blu-ray player, lol. (We also use it for Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, etc.) One of these days I'd love to get one of those, too, so I can also get a region-free DVD player...but yeah, like you said: expensive :/

There are some blu-ray players that can be region free DVD players with a code using the remote. I think I have one, but I haven't inputted the code.

This unit is available at US K-Mart and Sears:

According to reports, it still retains the all region features of its predecessors plus now has 4K up conversion!

I backed this Kickstarter as soon as I found out about it! So glad to see AnimEigo releasing more anime on Blu-ray after the success of the Bubblegum Crisis set!

I'll probably buy in now that the Sonoda mini-manga stretch goal has been cleared. Hopefully (and I may suggest it) there will be a post-ks add on for combining OnV with a copy of the previous BGC release. I hesitated on that one. I'm glad that I got a Sonoda sketch at a con years ago rather than paying over a grand for one in this deal

HEY GUYS! If you check out the latest update on the Kickstarter's page, Robert finally posted some of the new artwork Sonoda did just for this release! (He showed us the art a little before this update--It was so hard to wait until he shared it publicly to talk about it!

) Also, I just finished up editing all the artwork I've been working on just a few days ago! WHOO! It was a lot, but that means the project's one step closer to getting finalized and stuff. Yay~

It's cool and all, but you know? I'd rather contribute to a new chapter of Otaku no Video, one that shows the revival of 'Giant X' due to a show that's a mashup of Mazinger Z and Ultraman...

As fun as that would be, no one left at Gainax probably thinks that would be a viable enough project, since the landscape of "otaku" has changed significantly since this was made, lol.
Sonoda has also drawn up a brand new mini manga/doujinshi that will be included with this, though!
