While tapes did degrade, it was MUCH more common to see the degrading of copy of a copy of a copy (etc) than a tape 'wearing down'.
Then again, you couldn't do much about tapes degrading... and if you had copies of a copy of a copy...it was likely the best that you could get of that show.

Reasonable, especially with the issue back in the day with 'Four Shoujo Stories'. I wonder how the new translation will compare to the VIZ one that I have.

They Were Eleven query
As previously discussed here ( https://www.oldschoolotaku.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=18163&hilit=eleven#p18163 ) around April of 2021 'They Were Eleven' was licensed (both the original which I have and the sequel). As I mentioned here ( https://www.oldschoolotaku.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=19066&a...

Re: Alita: Battle Angel delayed to Dec '18
I liked the Battle Angel / Gunnm manga a lot. I liked the Last Orders quite a bit, got them as soon as they came out domestically and read them the day of. The most recent series... as the gap in months became longer I just.... decided that it would never actually conclude or wrap up =/ Let me check...

Re: Anyone here read American or European comics?
Heh. In the last six years I got all of the Valerian collections. Some are definitely better than others, but I am quite fond of it. I prefer even my least favourite comic to the movie... it was not bad, but... all I can say is that it was not bad. I do think (as some fans said at the time) that one...

Re: ANN article on Classic Shoujo I'd love to see get licensed
I am reminded of the 'They Were Eleven" manga that I ordered on Amazon about two years ago for release last year... every three or four months I get an e-mail detailing how it has been delayed a few more months. Currently due (checks) June 25th, 2024.
