Re: Anyone want to Compare LDs?

Thanks for pointing that out!

I just own one copy of MD Geist, though I do have multiples of some other stuff, like KOR and Moldiver, SOME of them (KOR 2-3 and Moldiver 1 I have dupes)

Looking forward to comparing notes!

Anyone want to Compare LDs?

Took a moment on the LD Database to finish the catalog of my LDs. Leaving in the non-Anime, for those curious. There are about 20 disks that are Japanese language only, including all 13 volumes of Macross 7. 1587 CS 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Archive Collection (1954) 3/4/1993 BELL-647 3X3 Eyes: ...

Re: Old School Anime on Amazon Prime/Netflix/Etc

Shinseiki Evangelion is supposed to be coming to Netflix this spring. I can't wait to see what video/audio quality it will bring. I am hoping this is a precursor for a BD release for us in R1.

And say what you want, this is one of the big titles I remember from Anime Club days in the late 90's.

Podcast?

Link me that, please.

I am slowly working my way through You're Under Arrest again. =)

I keep up on the new stuff too, but "Shhhhh"! Loving Kororo from this season.

Re: Discotek Licensed Twilight of the Cockroaches!

Well, thank you!

I have been pondering for years picking up the LD so I could watch it again.

Put it on my wishlist at Rightstuf =)

Oh and sorry to double post, but chops to you if you recognize my Avatar. This was a VERY early show I saw in the mid 90's that a friend had brought back from Japan, taped off the air. It took about 20 years for someone to finally fansub it, and it is pretty rare still now.

Re: New Member

Thank you usamimi! DKop: You have stuff I don't. I never got Robotech LDs, so that is cool! I do have all 13 volumes of Macross 7. For some reason the Macross stuff always seemed so expensive, you know? I do have the AnimEigo "Preorder" box set for Macross on DVD though. One of my treasures! I also ...

Re: New Member

Oh, lol! I mean I have 40+ LD Anime titles, stuff like Rumic World, UY, Macross 7, KOR and such! I have maybe 10-15 non anime LDs at most. Some of the stuff the best looking copies are the LDs that you can get.. I am still on the hunt for odd things I have missed.. like Genesis Survivor Gaiarth Vol ...

Re: An index of prominent figures in the early anime fandom?

Donno if this is off topic but Robert Woodhead of AnimEigo was and still is one of the biggest fanboys ever.. enough that he founded his own company to import anime, and did a damn great job of what he brings in, and still does. Also, Justin Sevakis of ANN has made a living out of being a fan. Bully...
