anime at the Revue

Post by davemerrill »

Just got back from AWA and I've barely gotten back into the daily routine, and now there's something else going on! The Japan Foundation and TAAFI and the Revue Cinema have teamed up to screen more anime on the big screen all month, and the first film is tomorrow, and it's CYBORG 009: LEGEND OF SUPER GALAXY. I'm so there!

Other films in the series are DAGGER OF KAMUI and MAI MAI MIRACLE and AKIRA (sold out). All films are 35mm prints with subtitles, like the GALAXY EXPRESS they screened last summer. I never thought I'd get a chance to see the 009 film in a theater and I'm pretty jazzed about it.

Couldn't agree more, really wish I was able to see these on the big screen as well!
