Yeah, $20 each! The auctions ended within moments of each other, and they were around 1pm Pacific Time on a weekday. So I bid on one (starting at $20), and the other one didn't get any bids. I made him a deal, and he took it. Wow. The Dirty Pair Epoch figures were an even more amazing eBay grab, especially since they are limited editions.

Here's some stuff I picked up yesterday while digging for goodies. After danth asked me to sell him on Blue Seed, I was dying to watch it again, and while I coulda bought the collection for $12 on eBay, I couldn't wait to watch it right away after finding it at a used music store today. I've never seen Fencer of Minerva, but seeing as the DVDs were kinda pricey online, it was a great find to get it at Half Price brand new sealed for only $5.

Ha, awesome, I used to have all of those Venus Wars and Macross II comics! I have no idea where those ended up.

God, Yoshikazu does such amazing illustrations!
Fencer of Minerva, I have those on DVD. Let me know how they are! I haven't gotten to them yet.

Here are my beloved art books! Click on the picture for a larger view. The books are Record of the Lodoss War Comp Collection 1 and 2, The Complete Works of Yasuhiko Yoshikazu (Gundam, Dirty Pair novels, Venus Wars, Combattler V, Crusher Joe, etc), Macross: DYRL "This Is Animation", Kenichi Sonoda Artworks 1983-1997 (Bubblegum Crisis, Gal Force, Riding Bean, Otaku No Video, etc... my FAVORITE anime/manga artist!), and Legend of the Galactic Heroes Roman Album (Katsumi Michihara---the LOGH manga art as opposed to the anime).
The Lodoss and Yoshikazu books are actually gifts from forum member Ganalef, who unfortunately has no time for any forum because his job is having him work 14 hour days or something.

I have that same Macross artbook, I found it in a Goodwill actually several years ago. It appears to have been signed by Cark Macek as well.

NO WAY! Ironically though, since Macek had nothing to do with the DYRL movie, that is still an incredible find! I actually got rid of a bunch of anime stuff, mostly VHS, to the local Goodwill before I moved to Japan. I did send my stack of anime magazines to our admin, though!

You probably won't like Fencer of Minerva if you're not into hentai. I saw it once to check out if there was any good fantasy in it, but the overwhelming amount of H stuff turned me off. Women being owned like sex slave pets comes to mind...

I have a few seemingly-hentai-but-not-really-hardcore-hentai from CPM as well. Sins of the Sisters I found in a bargain bin a few months ago. That was a completely random title, since CPM didn't even license the first part of it and just released the second part.
There are a lot of fantasy hentai out there. Maybe some day I'll try to seek them out to see if there are any actual interesting ones out there. It's a shame there are so few actual swords and sorcery anime in general. Most of them cross over into science-fantasy elements or are just comedy like the Slayers.

I watched a couple of episodes of a hentai fantasy anime show called Sengoku Rance on YouTube about a year ago. It was heavily edited in order to comply with YouTube's policies, but even with that, the complete objectification of women was absurd. The Sengoku Rance computer game it was based off of is supposed to be fairly decent to play, but it really uses the H element as a vehicle to drive popularity. I never heard of it until it was mentioned in a video game forum I'm on.
There really isn't enough good fantasy anime, it seems.

I was aware of it when I bought it. I mainly bought it because it was super cheap and somewhat hard to find, so I'll probably keep it sealed for now.
One older fantasy/H I actually did find entertaining was Dragon Pink, mainly because how it mimicked a real RPG game. I honestly, I could've watched a regular series like that.
