Anime America '95

The roughly mid-90's and earlier (generally pre-Toonami, pre-anime boom) era of anime & manga fandom: early cons, clubs, tape trading, Nth Generation VHS fansubs, old magazines & fanzines, fandubs, ancient merchandise, rec.arts.anime, and more!

I love the vibe in these photos, as well as that guy dressed as Captain Harlock. The anime playing in that picture, its Yamato isn't it?

Lol...I have not seen these in YEAAAARS. What's funny is because there is a scene with an elevator party...Helen McCarthy and a few others are in it. But that's something you will never ever see at a con ever again.

I'm not sure if this footage is on there but it's with a group of people playing Sailor Moon and Yu Yu Hakusho on the 3DO. The person playing is Robert De Jesus...
